ARE THE SIZES LISTED INCLUSIVE OF THE BORDER?
Yes! This is so that you have the option to fit your print into a standard sized frame. However, we always recommend taking your print to a professional framer.
WHY DO YOU SUGGEST A CUSTOM FRAME?
We believe art should be displayed in a way that not only protects the piece, but also highlights it when hung on your walls. We’ve taken care to ensure your print is of the highest quality, and we believe it deserves an equally beautiful frame to live in!
CAN MY PRINT GET DAMAGED IF NOT FRAMED PROPERLY?
It’s possible that over time the inks & papers can get damaged if not properly protected in a quality frame.
WHAT IF I SEE A PHOTO OF YOURS I WANT PRINTED THAT ISN’T A PART OF THE SHOP?
Custom print orders may be possible, depending on the image you would like made into a print! Contact me at hello@hayleynedland.com to inquire!
WHERE ARE THE PRINTS MADE?
All of our prints are carefully made by Hound & Bone Studio, a small team and specialty small-scale print shop out of Melbourne, Australia.
WHAT TYPE OF PAPER ARE THE PRINTS MADE WITH?
Each piece is printed using archival pigment ink on Hahnemühle Agave 290gsm, a natural paper made from 70% agave fibres and 30% cotton with a slightly rough, yet delicately defined surface texture.
HOW WILL THE PRINTS ARRIVE VIA POST?
We send our prints carefully rolled in a mailing tube with an archival sleeve to protect from dust and moisture and keep your print safe on its journey.
WHAT SHOULD I DO WHEN I RECEIVE MY PRINT?
If you plan on bringing your print to a framer, we suggest bringing your print in it’s original packaging straight to them. If you will be framing yourself, here are some tips from our printers to ensure safe transition from package to frame:
- Find a flat, clean surface. Ideally wear cotton gloves. Next best is food-grade latex. If going nude, ensure your hands are clean/dry.
- Slide the paper band off your print and dispose of it promptly. Don’t unpick the tape - you don’t want adhesive near your print.
- Using two hands, unroll the print and place it print-side-up on the flat surface. Leave the archival sheet on - reposition if necessary.
- With the sheeting protecting the printed area, place a few smooth, flat, heavy objects on the ends of the print. Leave for a few hours to flatten.
- Remove objects and if your print is still not flat, replace and leave for a few more hours.
- Very Important: never roll the print in the opposite direction. This will damage the paper and the pigment.
- If re-rolling your print, always roll it so the printed side faces out (as it was initially rolled). This follows the natural curve of the paper.
DO YOU OFFER RETURNS / REFUNDS?
As so much care and attention goes into creating each print, we don’t offer returns or refunds if you have changed your mind. However, if you are unsatisfied with your piece, please reach out to us as at hello@hayleynedland.com to see how we can help.
WHAT IF MY PRINT ARRIVES DAMAGED?
Although each print is packed with care, we understand that sometimes things happen in transit. If your print arrives damaged, please send us photos immediately and keep all original packaging so we can resolve the issue as soon as possible!
HOW LONG WILL MY PRINT TAKE TO ARRIVE?
Once your order is placed, each print takes about 7 business days to process plus shipping times. Shipping will vary depending on destination. Please allow extra patience as international shipping is a bit slower than normal due to covid restrictions.
IMPORT TAXES / DUTIES
The receiver may be required to pay taxes and duty on delivery, as per their local laws. These rates are set by the destination country. We are not liable for any unforeseen import expenses.
